Shanghai, November 26 (Gasgoo.com) Brilliance Auto has decided to release its 2009 Zhonghua Junjie model in late January next year, about six months after its launch of the 2008 Zhonghua Junjie, and will set the new model's prices between 95,000 yuan ($13,900) and 159,000 yuan, said xinhuanet.com today.

Sources said that the 2009 Junjie model has much in common with the 2008 Junjie model, and the two medium-grade compact sedans have the same power-train and design style. However, some configurations and functions have been upgraded for the slight revamped model. The detailed configurations will not be announced until late January when the 2009 model is launched.

Brilliance Auto, BMW's Chinese partner, has developed its own-brand Zhonghua Junjie as a classic family sedan model. The car's design by an Italian firm has featured some BMW elements, highlighted by a seamless fusion of European car-making philosophy and classic Chinese aesthetics.

The 2008 Junjie model was released to the market in July this year, and only six months later, the 2009 Junjie will go on sale in late January next year. The coming Junjie model will sell for 95,000 yuan to 159,000 yuan for different editions. However, the similarly priced 2008 model is now on special offer, with a discount of about 10,000 yuan.

Brilliance Auto is also restarting its plan to export Zhonghua Junjie sedan to Germany, and have a presence in the European market by 2009. The car is to be displayed and sold for 15,990 euros at 124 auto exhibition halls in the country as planned, German media reported earlier this month.
