Gasgoo to help global buyers find Chinese suppliers

Shanghai, December 4 (Gasgoo.com) About 80 big global buyers from more than 30 countries and regions will be arriving in Shanghai to attend the "2008 Gasgoo.com (Shanghai) Auto-parts Sourcing Match-making Event" that will kick off on December 11. Over 600 Chinese suppliers of auto parts are expected to showcase and sell their products at the global sourcing event.

The buyers to attend this event will include global automakers, auto-parts manufacturers and after-market companies, such as PSA, Bosch, Schaeffler, Continental, Honeywell, Hella, GKN Group, Haldex, Autozone, Rieter, Ashokleyland, Linamar, Alcoa as well as many global auto giants. They will release large number of sourcing orders in the auto-parts match-making session.

This part-parts sourcing event, the largest of its kind this year, is to be held amid the global financial crisis which will pose more opportunities than risks to Chinese suppliers. In the recent two months, the number of global buyers from overseas has increased unexpectedly, with monthly orders up 37% on average. The latest survey by Gasgoo.com, a leading global auto-parts sourcing service provider, shows that the global crisis has shifted more global buyers' attention to China for its low-priced, high-quality auto-parts.

A souring executive from one of the top three global auto groups told Gasgoo.com that they will have more than 100 sourcing projects to be launched in China if suitable local suppliers are available. However, most of the Chinese suppliers approached by global buyers cannot meet their sourcing requirements in many aspects such as techniques, global market rules, and language/communication. The price and quality have no big problems.

According to Gasgoo.com CEO Kevin Chen, the global buyers are expected to boost their sourcing in China over the next three years, and this will rekindle the confidence of Chinese suppliers in expanding their international trade volumes.
