Changan Auto sells 13,085 vehicles in Nov

Chongqing Changan Automobile Co Ltd said it sold 13,085 vehicles in November, with production at 11,580 units.

In a statement filed with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, the company said it produced 188,151 vehicles and sold 188,600 in the first 11 months of 2008.

Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co Ltd, its joint venture with Ford Motor Co, produced 12,344 vehicles in November, with sales of 12,308 units. It produced 191,230 vehicles in the first 11 months with sales of 187,526 units.

Chongqing Changan Suzuki, its 51 pct-owned joint venture with Suzuki Motor, sold 10,347 vehicles last month on production of 8,897 units. It produced 118,003 vehicles in the first 11 months with sales of 117,313 units.

Chongqing Changan Automobile, the listed arm of China's fourth-largest automaker Changan Automotive Group, did not provide comparative figures.

Chongqing Changan Automobile said in a separate statement that both its A-shares and B-shares will be suspended from trading from today, pending an announcement.
