Shaanxi Auto to build assembly plant in Algeria
Shanghai, December 23 (Gasgoo.com) Chinese heavy-duty truck maker Shaanxi Automobile Group Co. is planning to launch a new marketing program in Algeria, changing completed vehicles exports to auto parts exports and setting up assembling plants in the country, Commercial Vehicle News reported, citing a worker of Shaanxi Auto in Algeria.
The heavy truck maker plans to build four production lines in Algeria for assembling all vehicles it exports to the country, the worker said.
After years of market exploration, Shaanxi Auto has become a famous automobile manufacturer in Algeria. By the end of the October this year, Shanxi Auto exported 3,000 heavy-duty trucks to Algeria. Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile Import & Export Co., expected heavy-duty trucks sales of the automaker will reach 6,000 units a year in Algeria for 2009.
