Shanghai, May 13 (Gasgoo.com) Hong Kong’s Financial Secretary John Tsang (Zeng Junhua) hosted the launching ceremony of Mitsubishi's electric vehicle, the iMiEV, on May 12 in Hong Kong, China News reported.

Hong Kong is the first territory in Asia, after Japan, to give this new type of electric vehicle a trial. Electric vehicles are a viable alternative for Hong Kong's motoring future, John Tsang said.

The local government has secured a number of Mitsubishi iMiEVs from the first batch of a limited production run, which will be delivered later for the next phase of larger-scale testing in Hong Kong.
