Mercedes-Benz June global sales down 6.7% y/y

Daimler AG said Tuesday that sales at its core Mercedes-Benz Cars unit were down 6.7% on the year in June at 111,300 vehicles.

In the first six months, the division posted a 19% sales fall to 544,400 cars.

Sales at the Mercedes-Benz brand were down 5.4% on the year at 100,300 cars in June and down 19% in the first six months at 483,300 cars.

Sales at the Smart brand were down 17% on the year at 11,000 cars in June and down 11% in the first six months at 61,100 cars.
