WABCO expands supply of technology to FAW Jiefang

WABCO Holdings Inc., a global technology leader and tier-one supplier to the commercial vehicle industry, today announced that FAW Jiefang in China has significantly expanded WABCO's existing supply agreement by selecting WABCO to furnish clutch servo technology for multiple heavy duty truck platforms on a sole supplier basis as of 2010. FAW Jiefang is the truck-building subsidiary of the FAW group, China's largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles and passenger cars.

WABCO began performing in 2009 for FAW Jiefang, a major new customer, as a main supplier of a full range of braking systems for commercial trucks. FAW Jiefang produced a record number of trucks in 2009 while putting extraordinary demand on its approximately 400 suppliers. Recently, FAW Jiefang honored WABCO with a Special Contribution Award in recognition of WABCO's outstanding performance in 2009.
