Geely to display 39 vehicle models at Beijing show

Shanghai, April 13 (Gasgoo.com) On April 9, the highly publicized Geely vehicle line-up for the 2010 Beijing auto show was officially exposed at press conference of the event. It said that the Geely’s line-up will highlight a technology theme, including 39 models, 14 powertrains and 1 simulator.


Geely’s exhibition stand will cover an area of 3000 square meters with totally six parts, ranking the first among all Chinese-brand carmakers. Of which the EC7, GLEAGLE and ENGLON are Geely’s three car brands, and safety, powertrain and new energy constitute the other three parts. Eleven models under these three brands will be displayed at the Beijing Auto Show. Moreover, the Freedom Ship brand, the King Kong brand, the Golden Eagle brand and the Vision brand will launch upgraded models which will however be integrated into Geely’s new sub-brands.
 


Zhao Fu, Vice President of Geely Automobile and President of Geely Automobile Research Institute, emphasized that one noticeable feature of the company’s participating of the Being Auto show is no-concept-car and all the exhibits are of the production models.
 

Five product vehicles and eight potential vehicles will be put into production within two years. In addition, there are 12 models currently being developed in the company and another five reserve models to be developed.


Furthermore, Geely’s “new-energy park” will contain six exhibits including two electric models, one model equipped with the GSG smart start-stop technology, two Geely GPEC plug-in hybrid models and the IG model driven by batteries and solar power.
