Shanghai, May 18 (Gasgoo.com) Fruits of Geely Holding Group's cooperation with Australia's Drivetrain Systems International (DSI), world second largest gearbox manufacturer, will be seen in Geely's Xiangtan gearbox factory, located in central China's Hunan province, in March next year, An Conghui, Geely's vice president, said one year after the company's acquisition of DSI.

A standard test to match DSI's automatic transmission system with Geely's Vision, EC7 and others, totaling nine models, will be run at the end of this year, and if successfully matched, all Geely vehicle models will carry the automatic transmissions, made by DSI.

In addition to all nine Geely models, the Ford sedans which have been supplied to Australia for a long time, will also be equipped with DSI automatic transmissions. Moreover, all the gains will go with DSI. However, due to Geely's full acquisition of DSI, all the gains from those nine models will go to Geely accordingly.

Likewise, one year after the acquisition, DSI's Board Members have been reshuffled, with a new manager taking office.

"We must speed up R&D of the DSI transmissions, expand the R&D team, enhance the commercialization of new products and be further dedicated to the supply services for Ford, Korea's SsangYong and other automobile companies," said Li Shufu, chairman of Geely Holding Group.
