Shanghai, June 21 (Gasgoo.com) While taking over Volvo, expanding output and building transmission production base, Geely Auto is gradually improving all its programs. A reporter has learned from Geely that it will expand its dealer network to 900 stores and produce 4-5 new models this year.

Liu Jinliang, general manager of the sales department of Geely Auto, said that Geely has 800 distributors in the country at present. This year the network will expand to 900 stores, of which Gleagle, Emgrand and Shanghai Englon have 300 distributors respectively.

Early in the second half of 2008, Geely launched its three sub-brands: Gleagle, Emgrand and Shanghai Englon, while its Geely and Shanghai Maple brands will phase out gradually. Two years later, though those three brands have begun to operate independently, the dealer network is still in a mess.

To deal with this, Liu Jinliang said from now on, the distributors of these three brands will be completely independent. "This year, a dealer network without overlap will be formed and a new distributor image will be ushered in.
