Geely, Faurecia signs JV deal for car interior trim

Shanghai, July 9 (Gasgoo.com) Geely-Faurecia-Zhejiang Limin signed a joint venture deal on July 8 to cooperate together on the car interior trim, media reported.

Faurecia Group is the world's 6th largest auto parts supplier that focuses on the R&D of its main products: car seats, automotive interior parts, automotive exterior parts and automotive exhaust systems. As one of its core businesses, Faurecia possesses the most advanced technology and supporting facilities in the car interior field.

Zhejiang Limin company has been Geely's main supplier for several years. It has a comprehensive understanding of Geely's products and culture.

Geely's three-way joint venture aims to combine the advantages of the local auto parts enterprises with the technology and quality level of the world's leading suppliers to perfect its products.

According to the agreement, the new JV will use Zhejing Limin's platform to apply Faurecia's mature technology in car interior parts to Geely's products. The trio will build three to four new plants to meet the production demands.
