Peugeot electric car BB1 may enter China market

Shanghai July 22 (Gasgoo.com) Peugeot claims that when its BB1 electric car achieves mass production at the end of this year, it will be the world's first manufacturer that mass produce electric vehicles.

Philip Ambato, minister for international department of Peugeot, said that if the Chinese new energy market has a promising prospect, and PSA is anxious for the introduction of such an environment-friendly electric car, Peugeot BB1 will pick the optimum time to enter the Chinese market.

On July 15, BB1 made its debut at the Shanghai World Expo France Pavilion. The design of BB1 is very unique. Instead of having a traditional steering wheel, it controls direction with a controller similar to a bicycle's handlebar.

Moreover, BB1 can reach a top speed of 90 km/h and its maximum driving range is 120 km.
