Dongfeng Motor H1 sales jump 58.56% to 1.28mln units

Shanghai July 29 (Gasgoo.com) Dongfeng Motor Corporation revealed to the media that in the first half of this year, Dongfeng accomplished 60% of its annual sales target.

Data show that in H1, Dongfeng achieved sales revenue of 175.091 billion yuan ($26.133 billion), up 63.06% year on year; its sales volume had a year-on-year increase of 58.56%, reaching 1.28 million vehicles.

Dongfeng's sales growth was above the industry average by 10.89% and ranked first among the six corporations by sales increase.

Specifically, Dongfeng sold 936,600 passenger cars, up 54.31% year on year and 344,600 commercial cars, up 71.37% from a year earlier. The sales increase of the automaker's passenger cars and commercial cars were both above the industry average.

Dongfeng will continue to expand the operation achievement so as to attain the annual operation goal of "maintaining a good sales profit by selling 2,220,000 vehicles and achieving a sales income of 290 billion yuan," said Xu ping, president of Dongfeng Motor Corporation.
