Geely opens first online store

The nation's Geely Automobile Holdings opened its first online store on Taobao Monday, in hopes that rising e-commerce in the country will drive buyers to its showrooms.

It was launched for its Gleagle series on Taobao Mall, the store section of the nation's largest e-commerce website. Geely will start selling its Gleagle Panda car model on December 22 and will gradually expand to sell more models.
