Shanghai January 18 (Gasgoo.com) This year's winter road test has marked a major victory for Audi's quattro-equipped A6L. The annual test was conducted at the base of Mt. Changbai in eastern Jilin province. The event was made even more exciting by the announcement of the new 2011 A6L. Dominique Boesch, general sales manager for FAW-Volkswagen Audi, was extremely content with the new model, saying that he predicts that 2011 sales for the A6L will not be lower than last year's, and that it would be beneficial in helping the company break the one million vehicle sales barrier.

When asked about the effect Beijing's policies to combat traffic congestion will have on the industry, Mr. Boesch said that the market still had a lot of room to develop and had not yet felt any negative effects such policies may bring to dealers. He further said that if any problem did occur, that Audi would work with dealers to find a new solution to maintain development.

Mr. Boesch has been at FAW-VW for less then half a year, and has been busy becoming familiar with the intricacies of the Chinese market. In his few months here he has been busy attending discussion with dealers in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Sanya and other cities. Even during Christmas, the impeccably dressed Mr. Boesch has remained devoted to his work. He mentioned that he especially likes Beijing and enjoys its specialty dish Peking duck.

With already 45,000 Audi owners in the country, Audi hopes to rely on the A6L to increase its grip on the market in 2011. At the same time the '11 A6L comes to market, Audi will also introduce its optional S-line trim specification. Mr. Boesch said he hopes that by providing more choices, that Audi can find a place in every segment of the market.

Mr. Boesch added that Audi plans to do its best to eliminate production limitations. Since the Q5 came to the Chinese market, Audi has been continually plagued by production problems. Mr. Boesch stated that FAW-VW has already implemented policies to cut down customer wait times.
