UAE: BMW forecasts strong sales growth in 2011

Khaleej Times (Dubai) - AGMC, the importer for BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce Motor cars in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, has launched the new third-generation BMW 6 Series Convertible and expects strong growth in sales in 2011.

Latest results from the importer reveal sustained growth in the first two months of 2011 following a 19 per cent sales growth last year. Compared to January to February period in 2010, AGMC sales increased 34 per cent for BMW, 170 per cent for Mini and 113 per cent for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, according to the company.

The company also announced that the new Shaikh Zayed Road showroom will be officially unveiled next month and will feature sales and after sales facilities for BMW, Mini, Rolls-Royce, BMW Motorrad and BMW Certified Pre-Owned vehicles under the BMW Premium Selection Programme as well as the BMW Regional Training Centre.

"With the expansion of our showroom, investment in staff training and the most technologically advanced repair and diagnosis equipment, we are able to support the company’s sustained growth whilst ensuring outstanding product and customer service," the newly appointed Managing Director of Al Batha Automotive Group, AGMC’s parent company, Stathis I Stathis, said.

"Our business is not only about selling premium cars, but also investing on many different levels to ensure we have the right facilities and staff to sell new and BMW premium pre-owned cars, to service them and provide a very high level experience throughout the car ownership period," AGMC General Manager Kevin Hughes. 

The only thing harder than reaching the top is staying there, he said, and "we are ready to face that challenge in 2011 with our sizeable investment in new facilities and a host of new and exciting models, including the new 6 Series Convertible, an all-new BMW X3, an all-new Mini Countryman, the fourth Mini product and first ever four-wheel drive Mini."
