Volvo to recall over 4000 vehicles
Gasgoo.com (Shanghai May 9) - Volvo Cars announced yesterday that they will be conducting a comprehensive recall of over 4,000 vehicles, the Chongqing Evening News reported. The vehicles are being recalled due to problems with the front headlight washing system.
According to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, 942 domestically made S40 sedans (pictured) manufactured at Changan Ford Mazda's Chongqing factory. In addition, the imported XC60 and C70 are also targeted, with 3,034 and 84 vehicles affected respectively.
According to the report, a fault in the washing pump may prevent fluid from being applied, which in turn would interfere with the DIM driving information system.
Changan Ford Mazda and Volvo Sales' Chinese branch will contact affected customers and provide free maintenance and repair. Additionally, concerned customers can come to any Volvo dealership for free inspection.
