Taiwan News - Ford U.K. says it is pulling its advertising indefinitely from Britain's News of the World tabloid amid growing accusations against the paper in a phone hacking scandal.

The tabloid paper is facing claims that it hacked into a missing teenage girl's phone messages, possibly hampering a police inquiry into her abduction and murder.

A Ford U.K. says in a statement Tuesday it is awaiting the outcome of a police investigation into hacking. In the meantime, Ford U.K. says it will be using "alternative media within and outside News International Group" instead of placing advertising in the News of the World.
