BYD faces another poor sales result in June

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai July 8) - BYD's sales totalled 32,500 vehicles last month, falling another 8 percent, finance.sina.com.cn reported today. The figure is nearly 21 percent lower than the 410,000 vehicles the manufacturer managed to sell in May.

The manufacturer put out an announcement yesterday stating that it would be revising its anticipated profit for this year, originally anticipated to be 17 percent higher than 2010. BYD's stock pricefell 1.92 percent to 25.55 yuan ($3.953).

In other news, the central government has agreed to purchase 70 K9 coach buses (pictured) from the manufacturer.
