Geely to expand further into the UK
Gasgoo.com (Shanghai August 18) - Following its successful introduction of the MG6 in the UK, Geely has become the second Chinese manufacturer to sell cars on British soil.
Geely, via its Shanghai Geely International Corporation, has agreed to cooperate with London's famed taxi manufacturer Manganese Bronze to begin providing auto part and automobile aftermarket services in the UK, dfdaily.com reported today. The agreement will determine how business is divided between the two sides. If the deal goes through, Geely will hold a position no other independent Chinese manufacturer has in a developed Western market such as the UK.
According to sources from within Geely, the manufacturer hopes to begin its sales activities in the UK with models from its Emgrand brand. Within the next year, Geely plans to undergo regional testing for the vehicle, after which it will make its British market debut.
