Dongfeng Honda announces new luxury minivan as Elysion concept draws crowds at Auto Guangzhou 2011

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai November 25) - The Honda Elysion minivan concept as seen on the floor of the ongoing Auto Guangzhou 2011 exhibition is already adorned with the Dongfeng Honda badge. Sources from the joint venture have confirmed that they will be bringing over the luxury minivan to the country next year, auto.qq.com reported today. Domestic manufacture of the Elysion will begin late next year at its earliest.

The Elysion concept (pictured), while looking appropriate for business use, keeps a certain sense of style. 18 inch aluminum alloy wheels, large headlights and aggressive grille design give the minivan a sporty feel. It still remains to be seen which of these features make it to the production version.

The concept has three rows of seats, with the middle row being able to be fully rotated. It also includes a miniature desk which can be opened up for discussions. The Elysion can be powered by either a 2.4 L I4 or a 3.0 L V6 engine, both mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission.
