First Dongfeng Nissan Venucia model to make market debut in April
Gasgoo.com (Shanghai February 16) - The first model from Dongfeng Nissan's own brand Venucia, the D50, will hit the market in April, the Beijing Times reported today. The D50, which will also be shown off at April's Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, will be priced between 70,000 and 100,000 yuan ($11,124-$15,891).
The production version of the D50 (pictured) made its debut at last November's Guangzhou International Motor Show. The D50 is built on the same platform as the Yida version of the Nissan Tiida. Both models share many design similarities, which the D50's side profile being almost identical to the Tiida. The D50 measures 4.53 m long, 1.69 m wide and 1.53 m high, with a wheelbase of 2.6 m (identical to the Tiida).
The D50 is powered by the 1.6 L engine used in the Tiida, which has an output of 80 kW and can produce 153 Nm of torque. It is expected to be mated to either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission.
