Dongfeng Motor to export 300000 vehicles in 2016

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai April 26) - According to its recently announced overseas business plan, Dongfeng Motor aims to export a total of 300,000 vehicles by 2016, cyol.net reported today. The plan, codenamed DH310, will see Dongfeng's exports grow by 36 percent and its total sales grow ten percent.

According to statistics, Dongfeng exported 63,800 vehicles last year, worth a total value of $1.06 billion. Officials from Dongfeng commented that the lofty export target represents a major strategic shift for the manufacturer's overseas business. Since last year, Dongfeng has been aiming to unify resources to improve its export product variety, overseas market planning, brand image and overseas sales network, sources from the manufacturer were quoted as stating.

The DH310 Plan comes on the heels of Dongfeng's Qian D300 Plan, announced at the end of last year. According to the plan, the manufacturer's cumulative sales will total three million units by 2016.
