STM and FAW open research lab

FrenchTribune - As per a recent report, it has been revealed that STMicroelectronics (STM), a multinational electronics and semi conductor manufacturer, has constructed a novel laboratory in association with the FAW Group Corporation, China.

The officials from the STM were of the view that the main aim behind the development of laboratory is to give research an upper edge when it comes to develop power trains, chassis as well as finding solutions for safety, and strengthening car bodies and developing new-energy technologies.

"The cooperation between FAW and ST will drive our innovation in automotive-electronics technologies to support our development of optimized products at competitive cost, while strengthening our technological competences", said Jun Li, who is the Deputy Chief Engineer as well as Director of FAW R&D Center.

A lot many new things are going to take place in research center, as it has been found that Application Specific Standard Products will be used in the facility.

Edoardo Merli, who is heading the Marketing & Application department at STM, was of the view that the company is considered to be one of the leading companies when it comes to providing applications for chassis, car body and other infotainment material. The union will further help them in strengthening the position.
