The China Post - Mercedes-Benz Taiwan has announced the appointment of Andy Stockhecke as the new Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars, effective Sept. 1.

Stockhecke will help deliver Mercedes-Benz's brand claim of "The best or nothing" and provide professional services to all Mercedes-Benz smart and used car owners, with the hope of creating new sales highs for the company, already ranked No. 1 in Taiwan's luxury import vehicles market, the automaker said.

Stockhecke was born in Germany and joined the Daimler Group in 1991, offering his service for more than 20 years in different locations including Germany, Australia and Beijing. Between 2005 and 2008, Stockhecke was a deputy manager at Mercedes-Benz Taiwan and accumulated extensive knowledge of the local market, before assuming the general manager of sales and marketing position at Beijing Benz Automotive Co.

"Now I'm very happy to return to Taiwan for this new assignment, since Taiwan is such a wonderful island with such friendly and welcoming people," he said during a recent media luncheon.

With abundant experience in the fields of product planning and marketing, Stockhecke is confident that, with the hard work and contributions of the entire Mercedes-Benz Taiwan team, the company will enjoy further successes, keep its No. 1 position in the market and develop new businesses to provide top-notch services to Mercedes-Benz and smart vehicle owners.
