Mats Fägerhag named CEO of Geely Holding's new R&D Centre

Mats Fägerhag (male, born September 12, 1961 in Tidaholm, Sweden) CEO of Geely Holding's new R&D Centre in Gothenburg, Sweden

Mr. Fägerhag graduated with a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Lunds University of Technology in 1987.

Following his studies, he had different assignments with Volvo Heavy Truck, Saab Military Aircraft and Saab Automobile. In 1992 he joined Saab Automobile where he held different positions within Saab Technical Development Department and in 1998 he was appointed Director of Body and Exterior Development. In 2005 Mr. Fägerhag moved to Russelsheim in Germany where he took on a role as Executive Director Vehicle Systems within GM Europe Engineering. In 2007 he also took on, in parallel with his GM Europe job, the role as Executive Director Product Development within Saab Automobile.

In February 2012 he joined Volvo Cars as Vice President Technology, Innovation and Alliance within Product Strategy.

Mr. Fägerhag is married and has four children. He is a fan of sports and classic cars, while he also enjoys playing guitar and tennis.
