Mercedes-Benz announces to introduce Chinese-made model new GLA

"By 2015, Mercedes-Benz will introduce 20 new or modified models to China market." On the Daimler China centennial celebration held in Beijing a few days ago , Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales and Service Ltd. President and Chief Executive Officer, Ni Kai announced to the outside world for the first time, that the new introduced Chinese-made model is Mercedes new GLA .

So far this year, Mercedes-Benz sales in China has been increasing significantly, mainly due to the consolidation of its sales channels. For nearly two years, Mercedes-Benz has been focused on combing dealer channel in China. Among them, Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales and Service Ltd was established in December 2012. Data show that in August of this year, Mercedes-Benz sales in China reached 18,000 units, an increase of 27.3% year-on-year.

Apart from the Mercedes-Benz brand passenger cars, Daimler becomes the luxury carmaker, products of which cover light commercial vehicles, passenger cars and all market segments including auto financing service, spare parts business and so on. Daimler in Great China Chairman and Chief Executive Officer,Tang Shikai said, after buying BAIC12% stake, Daimler became the first foreign company who has a larger stake in Chinese Auto company. Based on the long-term development, Daimler will further realize its commitment and great concern to the Chinese market.

Daimler also announced to establish "Mercedes-Benz Arena" in Beijing, which would include Daimler world's second Mercedes-Benz Museum.
