Hyundai China Recalls 23,672 Exported Cars
At present, Hyundai (China) Investment Co. Ltd. which includes Shanghai branch has submitted recalling plan record for AQSIQ. It recalls part of exported Hyundai and KIA cars from Oct 21, 2013. The recalled cars were made from 2005 to 2011 year which totally 23,672.
As it known, part of the recalled cars have problems like bad brake pedal switch contacts, signal delay, resulting ESP warning lamp lights up, bad a key to start function, difficult to move the shift lever Parking or cruise control cannot be discharged, and the brake light does not light up. All those problems may trigger accident happening and has potential risk.
The recalled cars including: 10,691 2006 to 2009 year Hyundai Coupes made from Oct 1, 2005 to Oct 30, 2008; 6,084 2005 to 2011 year Hyundai Azeras made from March 23, 2005 to Dec 31, 2010; 862 2008 to 2011 year Hyundai Lawns made from April 8, 2008 to Nov 22, 2010.
KIA: 642 2007 to 2009 year KIA Ophelia Royce made from Dec 13, 2006 to Nov 24, 2008; 4,872 2009 to 2011 year KIA Borregos made from July 3, 2008 to March 11, 2011; 521 2010 year KIA Shumas made from Nov 21, 2009 to August 25, 2010.
Hyundai authorized dealers and KIA authorized exported car dealers will replace the brake pedal switch with new one according to recalling procedure.
Hyundai Auto (China) Investment Co. Ltd. will notice its consumers by dealers’ network, message, Email and telephone call. Please drive your cars to authorized dealers to replace original brake pedal switch.
