The 3rd Factory of Dongfeng Yueda Kia Will Soon Put into Production

In the Guangzhou auto show this year, the brand new K5 of Dongfeng Yueda Kia had drew the concern of whole industry. In December 5th, this brand new model had been put into the market and it is the key model of Kia in China to reach more sales.

Up to October of this year, Dongfeng Yueda Kia had sold 445 thousand new cars and reached the year-on-year growth of 18%, which exceeded the average data of whole industry. The 3rd factory of Kia in Yancheng, Jiangsu will be completed in 2014 and will produce 300 thousand cars in 2015. The output issue will also be solved.

Mr. Su, the general manager of Dongfeng Yueda Kia, said they had prepared follow-up models of K series and released K6 in 2015 and K7. These 2 models are expected to be manufactured in 3rd factory.

The sales of K2 & K3 are over 10 thousand. These 2 models are keys to Kia sales. And Shipao & Zhipao also could contribute over 10 thousand sales. Mr. Su said the 3rd factory will manufacture more SUV models. And the New Forte is a more popular & practical model which will have 7 different configurations.

But as the plan of KIA, the sales target of this year will be 520 thousand. This means the sales of November & December must reach 40 thousand. Although there are 2 brand new models releasing, the brand new K series are almost same with Sonata 8. There remains to be seen whether K series could be helpful for the sales of KIA.
