Peijie ZHANG: Faw-Volkswagen 1.5 Million Sales Goal Almost Achieve

With the end bell of 2013, automobile company sales has entered peak phrase. Peijie ZHANG, president of FAW-Volkswagen told media at Golf 7 marketing launching activity on 10 Dec that it has no doubt to achieve 1.5 million sales made at the beginning of this year.

“2013 is not a normal year for FAW-Volkswagen. We have built our southwest and southeast bases. And New Jetta which new launched market in March has sold 25 thousand per month average. Our new Sagitar has taken the sales champion of segment for 17 months.” Peijie ZHANG said.

According to China Auto Industry Association statistics recently, from Jan to Nov, FAW-Volkswagen has sold 1.39 million. The company Nov sales of single month was 125.7 thousand. If it remains the sales record, it has no doubt to achieve 1.5 million sales.

Based on the figures, FAW-Volkswagen sales will increase 21.1% over last year did. It has far better than industry average, but still behind its opponent Shanghai Volkswagen. From Jan to Oct, Shanghai Volkswagen has sold 1.41 million cars, which has already achieved 31.47% growth than last year 1.07 million sales.

However, FAW-Volkswagen still has chance to take the top 2 sales record this year. Up to Nov, passenger car sales top 3 is: Shanghai GM 1.416 million, Shanghai Volkswagen 1.407 million, and FAW-Volkswagen 1.394 million. Distance among above three companies is 8.1 thousand and 13.6 thousand. FAW-Volkswagen has sold 17.7 thousand more than Shanghai Volkswagen in Nov. If FAW-Volkswagen can remain the advantage until the end of Dec, FAW-Volkswagen can take the top 2 sales company of passenger car. Considering about new Golf 4 marketinglaunching, it is no impossible to achieve the goal.
