BYD will Develop Driverless Car with I2R

Recently, BYD has signed a cooperation agreement with institute for infocomm research (I2R) from agency for science, technology and research in Singapore. 2 parties will establish laboratory and integrate advantages in electric car and driverless car to develop next-generation intelligent electric car.

In accordance with the agreement, the cooperation includes not only automatic drive technology, but also the operation for brake, steer and other systems through electric drive-by-wire system and the monitor and management on driverless car team according to traffic and condition.

Besides, intelligent and green traffic of Singapore is involved in this agreement. As the biggest infocomm research institution, I2R is qualified for the research in intelligence, communication, media and other systems. I2R will also collect data of intelligence and management systems from electric car and operate analysis and process.
