“Compared with mainstream CR-V and Murano, the appearance of last generation X-Tail is too hard for customers. We believe SUV is used for cross country. Therefore we consider about function first, and then about appearance. The new generation X-Tail appearance is conformed to mainstream beauty-appreciation.” REN Yong tells reporter about the company successor replacement thought.

With the new perspective of SUV, Dongfeng Nissan has adjusted a lot of designs of X-Tail, from car size to back seat space, and fuel cost. It is expected to competitor Honda CR-V, Volkswagen Tiguan in compact SUV segment. At present, SUV market mainstream compact SUV Honda CR-V is the successor product of year 2012. According to Japanese replacement regulation, the next generation CR-V shall launch market not early than 2017.
