Chery- Jaguar- Land Rover Made in China at End This Year, Imported Shares Channel with China Made

After 3 years’ preparing, Jaguar- Land Rover China made project, which is cooperated by Chinese local company Chery and British luxury automobile company Jaguar- Land Rover already close to achievement. According to Bob Grace’s introduction, who is the president of Jaguar- Land Rover at Beijing Auto Exhibition, the first China made Land Rover shall rolls of Changshu plant at the end of this year.

At present, sales of Jaguar- Land Rover are ranked fourth among all luxury automobile brands in China, which is only behind Audi, BMW and Benz. It has even exceeded the “fourth forever” Lexus since year 2012. Sales of Jaguar- Land Rover mount to 95 thousands last year. It expects about 15% to 20% growth this year. Of course, Land Rover contributes the most sales. The first mode made by joint venture of Chery and Jaguar- Land Rover is Land Rover as well.

As for customers, they care about the quality most. Bob Grace has no problem with the issue, and he says confidently that “we are able to build a new plant particular for (China Made) Land Rover. If you visit Land Rover Liverpool plant, you will find the plant was built dozens of years ago. With time goes by, Liverpool plant has adopted and upgrade new equipment’s. However, Changshu Plant is built for Land Rover, and it definitely will own some advantages.”

As it known, the Changshu Plant of Chery-Jaguar- Land Rover will be finished at the fourth quarter of year 2014 with annual capacity of 130 thousands. The company is found in Nov year 2012, and total investment with 10.9 billion CNY. It is found by Chery and Jaguar- Land Rover with 50:50 shares percentage. Jaguar- Land Roverofficial says the plant will adopt the same standard globally to remain its quality.

According to the time line of the first product rolling off, the China made mode shall takes its first show at Guangzhou Auto EXHIBITION IN Nov.
