Photos of Chery Jaguar Land Rover-produced Range Rover Evoque surface online

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai June 4) - A series of photos of the Range Rover Evoque manufactured at Chery Jaguar Land Rover's Changshu factory have been circulating online, auto.163.com reported today. The Range Rover Evoque is hinted to be the new joint venture's first domestically manufactured vehicle; full production is scheduled to commence sometime during the fourth quarter of this year, with the first vehicles to hit the market before the end of the year.

The Range Rover Evoque (pictured) will be priced between 528,000 and 668,000 yuan ($85,566-$108,254). It will be powered by a 2.0L turbo engine and driven by a four-wheel drive system.

The photos show the Range Rover Evoque at Chery Jaguar Land Rover's general assembly facility. The model pictured seems to have no noticeable differences with the currently available imported model. According to previous reports, equipment testing at the factory has generally already been completed, with full-scale production expected to begin in the fourth quarter of this year.

Following the Range Rover Evoque, which most believe will be Chery Jaguar Land Rover's first domestically-produced vehicle, a series of other models will be manufactured at the joint venture's factory, including the Land Rover Freelander, various Jaguar models and jointly-developed own brand models.
