Dongfeng-Nissan to win against the fall of car market in China

Gasgoo.com ( Shanghai September 17) The car market in China has been sluggish since April, however, Chenhao, vice general director for passenger car sales department of Dongfeng Nissan, appeared confident about future outlook. From January to August this year, sales of both Dongfeng cars and Nissan cars reached 614,000 units, and the single-month sales of August surpassed 70,000 units, a 9% growth month on month. Thus Dongfeng Nissan is confident that the company will achieve the sales goal of 1 million units.

According to Chen Hao, the overall sales in August is much better than that of July, judging from the visitor volume and sales. Visitor volume alone made a growth of 19% month on month without those brought by the launch of Murano.

Q3 this year hit the sales bottom, with a growth of only 0.2%. Car market is expected to recover in September over 5%. In the long term, the sales growth of car market in China is expected to be 1.1-1.3 times of GDP growth.

In the most fast-developing district, from January to August, sales volume of Dongfeng and Nissan cars reached 140,000 units, with Teana, Sylphy and X-Trail the most outstanding. Teana, whose TPI remained above 100, is trending upward. SUV is making a growth of 30%, especially X-Trail.

Since the second half of the year, Dongfeng-Nissan has launched new Murano, and by the end of the year, new Bluebird and new Qashqai, faced the market. All these newly launched models will bring positive growth to Donfeng-Nissan.

According to the statistics published by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), car sales in August reached 1.6645 million units, a drop of 3% year on year, but rising compared with 7.1% in July. And it is anticipated that the sluggishness of car market for past five months will be improved in September.
