Zhu Fushou was dismissed from President and Authorized Representative of Dongfeng Motors

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai Nov 26)- Dongfeng Automobile Group Co. Ltd. released an announcement on November 25th, removing Zhu Fushou from his position of President and Authorized Representative and appointing Li Shaozhu as the new Authorized Representative, which shall take effect on November 25th.

According to the announcement, “In accordance with relevant regulations of the PRC Company Law, Articles of Association of the Company and the announcement released on 4 November 2015 by the Company, Chairman Zhu Yanfeng will assume President’s responsibilities and power unless the new President is elected, which shall take effect on 2 November 2015.”

Senior managers in Dongfeng Motors are facing continuous investigation since the end of last year. Ren Yong, General Manager Assistant of Dongfeng Motor Corporation and Vice President of Dongfeng Motor Co. Ltd., was investigated on December 19th 2014. The former Deputy Party Secretary and Labor Union Chairman Fan Zhong was also investigated on December 25th 2014.

Besides, 27 cases violating “the eight rules” were investigated and noticed by Dongfeng Motors on December 21th 2014. 34 persons were given party or policy discipline punishments, among which, 3 persons in charge of subordinate organizations were dismissed from party positions and were degraded in administrative positions.

Dongfeng Motors revealed in April that concerning the violation of “the eight rules” issue, 34 persons were given party or policy disciplines punishments, 260 persons were given organization punishments and 494 persons were given warns till the end of March this year.

Before Zhu’s investigation, former Chairman of FAW Group Xu Jianyi was investigated on the Concluding Day of NPC and CPPCC this March.
