The sales of Dongfeng Nissan soar in November with implementing a strategy dubbed “YOUNG NISSAN”

Gasgoo.com(Shanghai Dec 3)Gaining 3,356 new orders, Dongfeng Nissan turns out to be one of winners at Guangzhou Auto Show. But the revelation of Mixima, which would be brought to sales next year as flagship model with new Murano, was better emphasized by Dongfeng Nissan.

Dongfeng Nissan has accelerated the launch of new models, such as new Qashqai. Under the product strategy, dubbed “YOUNG NISSAN”, Dongfeng Nissan has ushered in the period of intensive launch of new products.

The sales of Dongfeng Nissan have reached 830,000 units this year, not far from the goal of one million units. Statistics from China Passenger Cars Association show that the sales of Dongfeng Nissan totaled 100,000 units in October, which had been the best monthly performance since January in 2014. And the monthly sales of Sylphy totaled 35,000 units, ranking first in the small car segment.

After launching Murano, a new SUV model, in August, Dongfeng Nissan continued to bring to market Qashqai, a new SUV model, and Lannia, a new car model in October. Though, consecutive launching of three new models in a month can’t well describe the way Dongfeng Nissan accelerates the production of new products.

Maxima that will go to sales next year has been positioned higher than Teana by Dongfeng Nissan. It is a medium SUV customized for young customers. The launching of all these vehicles mentioned here make up the strategy dubbed “YOUNG NISSAN” of Dongfeng Nissan.

People born in 1980s in China have become the main automobile consumption group, accounting for 50%. Considering this, Dongfeng Nissan has changed its development strategy to better adapt to market shifts and focus on launching products appealing to the younger generation which is regarded as niche. It is reported that Dongfeng Nissan will continue to launch new models of Tiida, Sylphy and Teana next year.

In an attempt to change the development strategy, Dongfeng Nissan ‘s personnel in charge of launching new products are also those who were born in 1980s or even in 1990s.
