DYK Sportage to be introduced in China

Officials from Dongfeng Yueda Kia Automobile Company unveiled at the Auto Shanghai 2007 that the Cerato five-door hatchback as well as imported SUV Sportage will be introduced into China this year. Flagship modes of Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia have been selling hot in the auto market, of which Cerato model claimed it's highest ever one month sales figures in December 2006 with a volume of 10,221 units.

Moreover, the after sale services provided by the company, including a five year or 100,000 kilometers free maintenance for transmissions and engines, won the model a positive reputation among consumers.

Construction on the new plant has been completed recently. The new facility will have an annual production capacity of some 300,000 vehicles. Together with the first plant, the overall production will reach 430,000 units by 2010, at that time Sportage will start being produced in the second plant followed by Cerato hatchbacks.
