The Sweden auto maker Volvo had an amazing 81% sales growth in China in the past six months. However Alexander Klose, the company's CEO did not comment on this increase.

Volvo sales growth rate was even higher in Russia, about 100%. China, Russia and Australia are three most energetic markets for Volvo, Klose said.

"While in other markets such as Thailand, China Taiwan and Malaysia Volvo sales were not good as expected," He added.

VolvoC30 displayed at the Beijing Auto Show in 2006 will be launched in August this year, and the modified version of XC90 will be launched too, according to Klose.

Currently Volvo has more than 40 franchised dealers in China, and the Group is seeking more and more dealers to push forward its sales in the coming year.

"Sweden, U.S., Germany and UK are top four countries for Volvo sales; I hope China would become the fifth," Klose said.
