A Global Lean Conference in Shanghai (October 23-24, 2007)

The 2nd “Global Lean Summit” organized by Lean Enterprise China (LEC) will be held at Shagnhai Fudan Crown Plaza Hotel. Many world Lean gurus will address the audience with recent development in lean applications and its trend in the advanced countries. The other business leaders will share their personal experience in lean implementation in China.

The objective is to provide a forum for business leaders and lean practitioners in China to share information of what is new in the lean world as well as the challenges of lean implementation in China. In view of the increasing significant roles played by Chinese manufacturers in the global manufacturing world and the indispensable relationship between manufacturing and purchasing, therefore we selected the theme of this year’s conference: “Lean Supply Chain.” 

The key note speakers will include Dr. James Womack, the Founder and President of Lean Enterprise Institute (LEI); Mr. David Nelson,, the former Executive Vice President Supply Management at Honda of America, John Deere Co, and Delphi;, Mr. Jason Luo, CEO & President of KEY Safety Systems; and two renowned authors, Mr. David Meier, co-author of “Toyota Way Field Book” and “Toyota Talent”; and Mr. Robert Martichenko, co-author of “Lean Supply Chain”

Senior executives from FLEXTRONICS, DuPont, Bosch, Delphi, Caterpiller, Emerson, Alston, Fischer Plastic and HighPower Battery etc, will make presentations at the Summit to share their lean experience in China.
