VW Tiguan to be introduced to Chinese market next year, priced $66,590

Shanghai. October 22 (Gasgoo.com) – Volkswagen will start to sell Tiguan in completely-built imported unit starting next year, Chinese media reported today.

The model will be priced at approximately 500,000 yuan ($66,590) and will compete directly with rivals such as BMW X3, Land Rover Freelander 2, Audi Q5 and Volvo XC70 in Chinese market. 

Similar to VW Golf GTI, the vehicle will be powered by the 2.0 TSI engine and offers strong power. The new Tiguan was officially launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show this September and will make its debut in China at Guangdong Auto Show next month, West China City Daily reported.
