China's top ten passenger vehicle makers in January 2008

Shanghai. February 14 (Gasgoo.com) – Shanghai VW leads passenger car sales in January in China with 46,133 units sold, a figure that is just 16 units higher than its closest follower FAW VW, which sold 46,117 vehicles.

In the same month, Shanghai GM, FAW-VW, Shanghai VW all sold more than 400,000 vehicles, while FAW-Toyota, Dongfeng Nissan and Beijing Hyundai sold more than 30,000 vehicles; the other top ten automakers, including Changan Ford, Geely Auto, Guangzhou Honda and Chery Auto sold 200,000 – 240,000 vehicles.
