2008 Gasgoo Auto Parts Match-making Event (Qingdao) held last week

Shanghai, May 21 (Gasgoo.com) The 2008 Gasgoo Auto Parts Match-making Event (Qingdao) was held on May 16 during the 7th Qingdao International Auto Show and attracted 12 sourcing giants in the world's automobile and auto-parts industries for their sourcing activities. These super buyers include Alexander Dennis (UK), Dana (U.S.), Valeo (France), Rieter (Switzerland), Eissmann (Germany), Mitsuba (Japan), Haldex (Sweden), IKCO (Iran), PSA (France), Takata (U.S.), Paccar (U.S.) and Honeywell (U.S.).

The auto-parts match-making session in Qingdao started with the sourcing projects of the 12 global sourcing giants. Over 300 Chinese manufacturers / suppliers were screened and compared, and finally 80 of these Chinese suppliers were arranged to meet and talk face-to-face with the 12 sourcing multinationals. In the half-a-day talk, 70% of the Chinese companies were well recognized by the big buyers.

At the matching event, the 12 global buyers presented about 200 sourcing products, most of which are OEM products. For example, Paccar, the largest truck maker of the U.S., has come to seek high-quality OEM suppliers in China for long-term cooperation; the souring project of PSA Peugeot-Citroen includes nearly 20 categories of products such as rear-mirrors, windshield wipers, and car lamps and all these products will be used in the PSA car models made in China; Valeo hopes to source a batch of cast products; IKCO, the largest automaker in the Middle East, wants to source instrument panels, instrument panel finishings, crown gears and differential carrier (case) and the company's sourcing in China is rising rapidly. In addition, Takata, Mitsuba, Alexander Dennis, Honeywell and other companies have also brought their nearly 100-million-dollar sourcing lists to the buyer-supplier matching event.

After the match-making session in Qingdao, Gasgoo will also hold three high-level, large-scale match-making events in Ningbo, Beijing and Shanghai successively later this year for auto-parts buyers and suppliers from home and abroad.
