China Consumers Association circulated experience report for online car-hailing services
Gasgoo.com (Shanghai October 26th, 2016) China Consumers Association circulated the survey result for online car-hailing service, which has an overall good service, and little difference exists in experience scores of different platforms. Compared with experiences for online car-hailing services, more problems exist in offline riding experiences.
It’s known that the experience team combines of members from 17 vice provincial consumers associations and professional investigators. The survey includes online and offline parts, in which testers experience the whole process for main links of car-hailing services, by online car-hailing, taking the ride and mobile payments. The survey has collected 1,002 valid samples, involving main platforms such as Didi, Uber, Ucar and Yongche and covering 17 middle-size and large-size first-tier, second-tier and third-tier cities in East China, North China, Central China, South China, Southwest, Northwest and Northeast districts.
Results show that Ucar has the highest score of 81.9, second by Didi of 81.5 and Yongche of 80.5. Other brands have overall scores of 80.2, while Uber has a relative low score of 79.1. Although some differences exist between all brands, the differences are not obvious and brands have their own strengths and competitive power in the market.
Some problems exist in riding experiences. Some vehicles’ registered information is different from their real license plate numbers and models, bringing potential safety hazards for consumers. Some drivers have not conscious of the importance of safety driving. Some platforms have not provided customers service hotlines, creating a bad negotiating environment. Some platforms set unfair order cancellation clauses. The issuing of invoices faces problems in some platforms. Besides, some drivers have problems such as bad driving skills and poor services.
China Consumers Association suggests relevant departments strengthen the supervision and law enforcements, providing strong supports for the safe and convenient riding services.
