Dongfeng Peugeot 5008 is to be Listed in March 30th

SHANGHAI March 20th, 2017 Gasgoo – Dongfeng Peugeot is to be listed on “2017 Ceremony for Peugeot&Dongfeng Peugeot SUV” on March 30th, and is coming into the market this June. It is the first 7-seat middle-sized SUV produced based on EMP2 platform and was issued on last year’s Paris Auto Show.  

Dongfeng Peugeot 5008 is almost the same with overseas version in appearance. Its face adopts the newest family-owned designing of Dongfeng Peugeot SUV, while its rear is designed with floated roof, with a body size of 4641×1844×1646mm and a maximum wheelbase of the same level of 2840mm. The rear design of the new car is almost the same with the existing Peugeot 4008, but is has a tougher tail bumper after redesigned.

Dongfeng Peugeot also has a steering wheel flat both up and down, an all LCD digital dashboard, a handle like airplane rocker, and a driving lever like fighter missile launcher.

As for configuration, Dongfeng Peugeot 5008 will be equipped with Hill-Start Assist Control and Ramp Slow-Down System, AEBS, LKA, the pilot attention warning auxiliary, ACC, Blind Spot Detection, Park Assist, 360°Visible Park Assist System, etc.

Dongfeng Peugeot will provide 1.6T and 1.8T engines, the former one has a maximum power of 123kW and a maximum torque of 245 N·m, while the latter one has a maximum power of 150kW and a maximum torque of 280 N·m. It also provide a 6-speed automated mechanical transmission.
