BYD all-new Tang to make debut on March 6

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Several days ago, BYD announced that its all-new Tang will make an official debut on March 6th this year. As a production model of Dynasty concept, the all-new Tang adopts 7-seat layout and will offer three types of powertrains, including hybrid power, as well as three different exteriors.

The all-new Tang adopts BYD's bran-new design language of Dragon Face in its front end which was utilized in Song MAX. With smooth waistlines stretching from the front end to the rear end and a floating roof, the all-new Tang delivers a well-designed feeling. As to the rear end, the designer utilizes the design of Dynasty concept with a choice of pulling-through LED taillight clusters clinging to the bottom edge of windows which brings a neater visual feeling to the bottom half.

The all-new Tang measures 4870mm in length, 1940mm in width and 1720mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2820mm. According to the declaration information, its high-equipped version boasts a rim with a 22-inch diameter and 265/40 R22 tires which convey a powerful visual effect of the side parts.

As to the interior, the all-new Tang also adopts an all-new design cue with a concise and high-tech feeling. It is noteworthy that the new model is equipped with a rotatable 12.8-inch screen. What's more, the all-new Tang carries a multi-functional steering wheel, an electrical park brake, a start-stop system, an automatic headlight activation system, a multi-terrain select system, a full liquid crystal instrument panel and other configurations.

The new model will offer a 2.0T fossil fuel-powered version and a 2.0 plug-in hybrid version. The fossil fuel-powered version can deliver a maximum power output of 189hp (rated power 205hp) and its combined fuel consumption was declared as 8.8L/100km. Besides, the hybrid version will deliver a power output exceeding 500hp and is expected to sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds.
