BYD partners with 360 to build car security protection system

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- BYD forged strategic partnership on September 5 with 360 Security Technology Inc.(hereinafter referred to as 360), a Chinese Internet security company, to jointly create an intelligent car ecosystem by integrating resources of IoV (Internet of Vehicles), cybersecurity solution and IoT (Internet of Things), etc. Besides, both parties agreed to jointly build an IoV cybersecurity lab.

Under the newly-built partnership, BYD and 360 plans to make vehicles integrated with four forward-looking concepts, namely, AI, cybersecurity, IoT and content.

To be specific, both companies are gunning for a cooperative mechanism surrounding several AI sectors, carrying out in-depth cooperation in such areas as intelligent mobility, smart voice interaction, intelligent remote control, vehicle condition service, location-based service, data-based service, etc.

In addition, the automaker and the security service provider intend to make a network security protection architecture for vehicles through establishing and operating a joint IoV cybersecurity lab. They are also ambitious to create an Internet content ecosystem featuring plentiful IoV scenarios, by making use of 360's rich content resources, such as 360 Search, short video and game.

BYD has used 360's security protection solutions for its DiLink platform, an open car intelligent-connect system launched in late April. The 360 security system is able to prevent the vehicle from being harmed by various computer viruses.
