Lincoln Q3 China sales up 5%, two new models to come
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Lincoln brand delivered a total of 15,303 new vehicles in China in the third quarter with a year-on-year increase of 5 percent, according to the brand’s sales report. The cumulative sales volume for the first nine months reached 39,617 units, 4% more than that of the same period last year.
Lincoln said that with a growth of 16% from a year earlier, its sedan products achieved good sales performance in the quarter and became the main driver for its sales growth in China. From July to September, sales of both the Continental and Navigator models jumped more than 20% compared with the same period last year while the MKC and the MKX saw sales decline during the period.
In order to strengthen its SUV product competitiveness, Lincoln will introduce two new models at the coming Guangzhou Auto Show, the Lincoln Nautilus and the new Lincoln MKC to meet the market demands in technology, safety and powertrain. Currently, there are 114 Lincoln centers across China and the number is expected to 125 at the end of this year.
