Changan Auto names new president
Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chongqing Changan Automobile named Wang Jun as new president and Zhu Huarong, the company’s chairman, will no longer serve as president, the company announced on October 15.

In June, Zhu Huarong, who was the company’s president at that time, was promoted to the chairman after Zhang Baolin, the former chairman of the company, left the border and the company due to work-related changes.
Wang Jun, a 48-year-old industry veteran, held various positions in the company’s marketing, product management, technology research and commercial vehicle departments and has made great efforts in the company's research and development, marketing, organization construction, personnel training.
Changan’s business showed strong momentum this year. As of September, the company ‘s sales have achieved growth for six consecutive months. Its total sales in the first nine months amounted to 1,370,881 units, representing a year-on-year increase of 12%, while the sales of the overall industry, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufaturers, showed a decrease of 6.9% during the same period.
Thanks to the sales growth and product portfolio improvement, the company expected to be profitable in the third quarter with improved performance in both self-owned business and joint business. According to the company, its quarterly net profit attributable to shareholders will be range from RMB598 million to RMB1.198 billion, with an increase rate of 241.84% at the least and 384.2% at the most.
