CATL selected as board member of Global Battery Alliance

China’s battery giant CATL has become one of the members at the Global Battery Alliance (GBA)'s new board of directors, with a tenure lasting from April 2023 to December 2024. The company is the only Chinese enterprise to be on the position. 

SGMW’s Air ev model to hit market soon

SAIC-GM-Wuling ("SGMW"), the maker of the hotter-selling electric vehicle model Hongguang MINIEV, disclosed more detailed information of the Wuling Air ev on November 24. The new electric model will be offered in 2 two-seater variants and 2 four-seater variants. The vehicle is compatible with DC quick charge, AC charging, and at-home socket + charging gun modes, offering a battery-electric range of 300km. The model is expected to hit the market soon.
